The Bible teaches that faith comes from hearing the word of Christ (Romans 10:17). Through preaching and studying the Scriptures, we come to know the truth of Jesus Christ—His life, death, and resurrection—leading us to salvation and a deeper relationship with Him.
Faith is essential to salvation. It means trusting in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, believing that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again (John 3:16). Genuine faith leads us to rely on His grace, obey His teachings, and live a life transformed by His love.
Repentance involves turning away from sin and making a commitment to live in accordance with God’s will (Acts 17:30). It’s a change of heart and mind that leads to a changed life, leaving behind the ways of sin while pursuing righteousness.
Confession is a public declaration of our belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God (Romans 10:9-10) and that God has raised Him from the dead. Through this confession, we acknowledge our faith and commit to living as His disciples.
Baptism is an essential step in receiving salvation. It is an act of obedience to God’s command (Acts 2:38) and signified the washing away of sins, the receiving of the Holy Spirit’s promised GIFT of our resurrection unto eternal life, and the beginning of a new life in Christ (Romans 6:3-4). Through baptism, we identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Salvation is not a one-time event but a lifelong commitment to follow Jesus. Living faithfully means continually growing in your relationship with God, obeying His commandments, and sharing His love with others (Revelation 2:10). It involves daily repentance, worship, prayer, and striving to live in a way that honors God, trusting in His grace and relying on God’s word for comfort and strength.
