Bringing

others to Jesus

It is our fundamental mission as Christians to guide those who are lost to Christ. We endeavor to demonstrate a superior way of living compared to what the world offers, helping individuals transition from lives that may hinder them to a more fulfilled existence.

Teaching

the Good News

Upon being welcomed into the fold, it is imperative to receive instruction in order to deepen one’s understanding of God’s intentions. Engaging in Bible study is essential for personal growth in His ways. By embracing biblical teachings, individuals can cultivate a spiritually fulfilling journey.

Keeping

in community

Living a Christian life is a daily pursuit that requires constant effort to resist the devil. It is essential to seek assistance from our brothers and sisters in faith who share similar struggles. God established the church and united us so that we may support one another in His purpose.

Mission Work

Go Into All the World – Mark 16:15

The church plays a vital role in sharing the message of the gospel throughout the world. Guided by a deep sense of purpose and compassion, churches reach beyond their own communities to also bring hope, faith, and love to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. This global effort reflects the church’s commitment to teaching Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord called His followers to “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Missionaries are at the forefront of this endeavor, traveling to distant lands and unfamiliar places to live out their faith and serve others. Through mission work, the church addresses both spiritual and physical needs—teaching the principles of Christianity, offering prayer and guidance, and providing education, healthcare, and humanitarian aid. These missions often partner with local communities, respecting unique cultural traditions while fostering spiritual growth and understanding.

Finances

Each of Your Should Use Whatever Gift You Have Received To Serve Others – 1 Peter 4:10

Financial stewardship is an essential aspect of the church’s mission. From the earliest days of Christianity, believers have been instructed to support the work of the church through thoughtful, regular giving—following the biblical command to “lay by in store” as prospered (1 Corinthians 16:2). This practice is not only a response to God’s blessings, but also an act of worship and gratitude, ensuring that the church can continue its service both locally and globally.

Offerings collected each week are directed toward sustaining ongoing ministries, supporting mission work, caring for those in need, and maintaining the facilities entrusted to our congregation. The Granbury Street church of Christ is committed to transparency in all financial matters. Regular financial reports are made available to the congregation, reflecting our dedication to openness and accountability. We recognize the importance of being good stewards of the resources provided by God through the generosity of His people.

By faithfully managing our offerings and being transparent in our financial affairs, we seek to honor God, build trust within our church family, and further the work of His kingdom. All members are encouraged to ask questions and participate in the stewardship of the church, fostering a spirit of shared responsibility and mutual encouragement as we serve together. Technology

In addition to caring for our physical spaces, we are equally committed to fostering connection and accessibility through technology. Streaming our worship services allows those unable to attend in person to participate from afar, whether through live broadcasts or recordings available on platforms like YouTube. This digital ministry extends our message beyond our walls, reaching members and friends near and far, and ensuring that everyone remains a part of our church family.

Reliable internet access during services and classes is essential for supporting interactive lessons, facilitating communication, and enabling participation in real-time. These tools help teachers and speakers enrich their presentations with multimedia resources and allow attendees to engage more fully, whether in Bible studies or special events.

Our sound system is designed to enhance the beauty of acapella singing, ensuring clarity and balance so that every voice contributes to our harmonious worship. Attention to acoustics means that whether you are sitting at the front or the back, the fullness of our songs and spoken words can be experienced without distraction.

Recognizing that some members may have difficulty seeing the screen, we are working to provide devices that offer enlarged text or visual aids. These accommodations allow everyone to follow along with lyrics, scriptures, and announcements. If you or someone you know would benefit from such devices, or if you would like to help with our technology and media team, please contact:

Security

Ensuring the safety of the congregation during worship services, classes, and special events is a vital responsibility embraced by the Granbury Street church of Christ. Our commitment to both spiritual and physical well-being extends to providing a secure environment where all can gather in peace, free from distraction or concern.

A dedicated team of volunteers works discreetly behind the scenes, maintaining vigilance and readiness—monitoring entrances, overseeing the facilities, and coordinating with local authorities as needed. Regular safety training and preparedness drills are held to equip members with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in the unlikely event of an emergency.

We believe that a safe church fosters a welcoming atmosphere, allowing each person to focus on worship, learning, and fellowship. Members are encouraged to be attentive and to communicate any concerns or suggestions to our security team, ensuring that everyone’s voice contributes to our shared protection.

Directory

Maintaining a current and comprehensive church directory is essential for nurturing the bonds of community within our congregation. By keeping up-to-date photos and accurate contact information, we help ensure that every member feels known, valued, and connected, whether they are long-time participants or new arrivals. The directory serves as a bridge, making it easier for individuals and families to reach out, offer encouragement, and foster relationships across all generations.

To support this effort, the Granbury Street church of Christ encourages members to regularly update their profiles and photos. This not only strengthens our sense of unity but also allows leaders and ministry teams to communicate effectively and respond compassionately to the needs within our church family.

We are excited to provide access to our church directory and related information through the Online Member App. With this secure and user-friendly tool, members can conveniently view and update their details, access photos, and find contact information for fellow members at their fingertips. The app empowers everyone to stay connected, informed, and engaged in the life of the church, no matter where they are.

If you need assistance using the Online Member App, updating your information, or would like to submit a new photo, please contact:

Buildings & Grounds

The physical presence of a congregation in its community is more than a collection of bricks and mortar—it is a visible symbol of its values, hospitality, and commitment to service. The care and upkeep of buildings and grounds communicate a congregation’s dedication not only to its own members but also to the broader neighborhood. An inviting, well-maintained property reflects the spirit of those who gather within and shapes the public identity of the community it serves.

At the Granbury Street church of Christ, we recognize the vital importance of tending to our facilities with intention and care. By focusing on the public face of our congregation, we aspire to be good neighbors, create a welcoming atmosphere for all who visit, and help boost the collective identity of the community we serve.

Building a culture of care requires the active involvement of the whole church family. Volunteer opportunities abound. Sharing these tasks not only lightens the load but strengthens bonds between members as they work side by side.

Custodial

Custodial care is a cornerstone of our commitment to both hospitality and stewardship. Maintaining the interior condition of our building goes far beyond simple cleanliness; it is an act of service that shapes the daily experiences of everyone who enters our doors. Thoughtful attention to details—freshly swept floors, dust-free surfaces, gleaming windows, and orderly spaces—demonstrates respect for the sacredness of our shared environment.

For both visitors and members, a tidy and well-kept interior creates an immediate sense of welcome and comfort. It ensures that meeting rooms, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas are always inviting, accessible, and ready for use. Regular upkeep not only preserves the beauty and functionality of our facilities but also safeguards the health and safety of our congregation.

The pride we take in our building’s appearance reflects the care we extend to one another. Whether arranging chairs for a gathering, replenishing supplies, or attending to small repairs, each custodial task contributes to the overall atmosphere of warmth and belonging. Through these efforts, we honor our commitment to serve, making sure that our church remains a place where all can feel at home. If you would like to help out please reach out to:
